You know what they say...

About putting all your eggs in one basket... Well, to heck with that!! That is exactly what I'm doing. I've quit my "regular" (hourly, boring, monotonous...blah, blah, blah) job! I've traded in a regular paycheck for freedom (and more money, hopefully). This is the first time I've been driven/compelled/needing to put all else aside and truly focus on my photography career. A few things have come my way, and I'm going for it! It's a bit scary loosing the steady paycheck (no matter how small it really was), for the unknown! I'm thankful I have such an awesome, hardworking, supportive husband to encourage me to leave an unsatisfactory job and pursue dreams and personal desires. Don't take this the wrong way, I am no "lady of leisure", I still have to do my part and bring in X amount of moola each month so we can meet our financial obligations and hopefully eat. Anyway, wish me luck! And even though I'm putting all my eggs in photography, I have placed them in several "sub-baskets" because photography jobs are SO seasonal. I'll keep you updated on these ventures. Check my KFP blog for photos and tidbits about what I'm up to.

Good for you. I am sure that it will go well because it is what you love, and the fact that you are so good at it. Can't wait to hear how it's going.
