CAKES!!!
I'm finally taking a cake decorating class. Matt thinks I'd be good at it and I've been wanting to do this for years. I have been unable to convince either my mom or my sisters in going to a class with me, and now I'm far away in North Carolina. However, my friend Jannah, and I signed up for a 4 class course at the local Michaels! We had our first class yesterday and I got so excited about things that I baked a cake and "decorated" it today! It's really plain, but I've never done this before, so, I think its pretty darn good for a first timer!
Here are the results:

It's not a "Suzy" masterpiece, but maybe soon I'll dig into the fondant. Good luck on your Hippo Suzy!

That looks yummy! There's nothing like looking at a chocolated frosted cake just before bed . . . too bad I will be going to bed hungry (better for my figure I suppose).
I will look into to classes here and then we can meet in the midwest for a 'masters' class.

I have ALWAYS wanted to take a cake decorating class. My mom did in college and still have all her stuff. Maybe Tara and I will have to take one and have a 'bake off' with you. If you still lived in Utah I would be eating that cake for every meal...yummy! I have been craving cake for weeks now..
