Well, it's official...

I'm totally nervous and overwhelmed at this moment, but really excited at the same time! I have been called to serve as Young Women's President in our ward. Today I was sustained and set apart. I am excited about all the wonderful new experiences I will have with the girls. Looking back, I hope I can be a least a fraction of what my leaders were when I was a youth. It's hard to believe that I am now "them". I pray that the Lord will guide me to do the things that are best for the girls. I haven't been in Young Women's since I was 18, so any prayers and advise are welcome!!!

Congratulations Krista! You will be such a fun leader. Isn't it crazy that now we are the leaders? Oh, and thank you again for taking our pictures. I LOVE them! Some of our furniture still isn't delivered so I'm waiting to see how I'm going to decorate...and then I'll know more which pictures I'd like to order. I'll let you know!

Now it's time for us to trade ideas for activities! We need some new service activities since our Laurels are doing a service project every Wednesday! We can only make & give away so many chocolate chip cookies!!

Oh my gosh! Doesn't it seem like we're not old enough for such responsibility? I think you'll do great, though. How many girls are there? What's your ward like?
I just got released from 2nd counselor in the RS and I'm still smiling ear to ear :).
Good luck!

Dude, today I got called as the 2nd counselor in the YW. I guess they couldn't let me run free for too long.

ha! funny. You'll be good! At least it's not RS where the old people are :-) Today I was the only leader and I had to teach... It went ok I guess... Also, today we got a whole new bishopric, which takes the spotlight of me, which is good. I'll miss the old bish though, I really liked him.

Congrats. I've been YM president for over 2 years and it's been fun and hard, but rewarding and has helped me grow so much. I still feel like I'm too young for it, but things have worked out well. Of course, in a while, you'll see why I'm looking for jobs out of state :).
