Coupon Craze

It's true...  I started couponing back in February.  I've been getting some great deals, but I try to stay low key about it all.  I'm not at all like those people on that TLC show.  I buy practical things that me and my family will use.  I get most of my best deals at the drug stores I don't go grocery shopping very often.  If you have 18 month old twins, you understand :)  I try to do my main grocery shopping when our local store has 'Super Doubles' (a promotion where they double coupons up to $1.98).  They usually have these promotions about every 6 weeks.

Here's my stuff from today...  Two transactions (um, yes my mom gave me her VIC card because she doesn't use it very often...).

I spent at total of $14.53 on all of this which before coupons would have cost me $91.29!  Yay!  Our store limits how many coupons they will double (20 per day) as to make sure there is plenty for everyone.

I do my food staples and non-coupon shopping at Wal-Mart (well, I do use coupons there too...), but I don't always  have coupons for the things I want/need to buy.  They boys are pretty particular about what they eat.  For example, we have toaster waffles a lot (my waffle iron died...), so if I don't have a coupon I buy the Wal-Mart store brand, they taste just the same.  The boys LOVE the blueberry ones.

Every little bit saved helps.  Especially as my boys get bigger...  I'm sure when they are teenagers eating me out of house and home I will long for these days :)
