Road Trip

Matt and I left for North Carolina a week before Christmas because I had to start my new job a few days before Christmas. We took the Forester and filled it to the max! We could not have put one more thing in that car. We decided to take the I-70 route. We took off about 10 am. Matt drove until Rifle, CO then I took over until Denver.


Camille wanted me to take photos of all the states "Welcome" signs. I started off good...


In Denver we stopped to eat dinner and visit Lisa. We went to Old Chicago and ate really yummy pizza and a delicious deep dish cookie!

The plan was to stop in Salina for the evening, but Matt just wanted to push on. I slept until Kansas City, then Matt needed a break. I drove from Kansas City until just past St. Louis. I missed the state signs for Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky. I did, however get these ones...


I drove a bit again in Tennessee, but Matt finished our trip. We arrived about 36 hours after starting our journey! Leave it to Matt to make us have that kind of trip! We arrived safe and sound and TIRED!
