What NOT to do...

I was watching the Food Network the other day and Tyler Florence had a little 60 second tutorial during a commercial break. He was explaining the best way to re-heat a slice of pizza. He said that microwaves were bad because they made the crust soggy and the oven was bad because it turned the slice of pizza rock hard. Tyler said the best way to re-heat pizza was in a skillet on the stove top. Interesting...

Matt and I had some leftovers from PJ's so, I decided to try it Tyler's way (I'm an eat it cold, or re-heat in the oven kinda gal, but Matt likes the microwave because he's impatient).

Umm... here were my results of the stove top re-heat...

Yeah, not so good. We had some more pizza so I decided to try it again. I turned the burner down a bit more (med-low at this point) and put 2 more slices in. Same result! The bottom totally burns before the top can even get slightly melty again.

Sorry, Tyler, but I think I'll stick to eating my leftover pizza cold.

Dude, You have to cover the pizza with a lid. BUT, I've had the most success by microwaving the pizza for 30-60 seconds and then putting it in the pan. It works... but I've also burned the bottom a time or two :).

That is so funny Krista...well, not funny, but crazy that it happened twice. I LOVE my toaster oven...that's the way to do it. Put it at 400 for about 5 min...patience is key. I USED to do cold pizza...but this really is the best way to go!
